DATA CENTER RECONSTRUCTION
The team at MEP carried out the reconstruction of the primary data center for OTP Bank in Zadar.
During the reconstruction, it was essential to ensure the availability of all banking services that depend on the ICT infrastructure connected to the data center.
The reconstruction included the installation of a new high-efficiency cooling system.

RECONSTRUCTION OF THE DATA CENTER
For our client’s needs, we carried out a reconstruction of the data center in production. During the reconstruction, we installed new electrical installations, LAN, cooling system, a new modular floor, and renovated the space, as well as upgraded the surveillance system.
OTP Bank – Data center
The OTP Bank data center is the primary data center that houses critical equipment for the IT system of OTP Bank in Croatia.
Project task
The customer demanded a reconstruction of the data center in production without interrupting IT services. The project required special attention and precise planning from experienced MEP employees to ensure uninterrupted power supply and cooling during the reconstruction. The customer requested the installation of a highly efficient cooling system with FREE COOLING option and cooling of IT equipment with high temperatures of the coolant. A new layout of IT equipment was required, forming closed hot zones, raising electrical installations and LAN above cabinets, and installing a new modular floor.
Solution
MEP employees have delivered and installed high-efficiency water chillers, STULZ Explorer, with a free cooling system and VSD pumps. Inside the data center, APC In ROW ACRC301H units have been installed to operate with high temperatures of the coolant.
Inside the data center, a new Uniflair modular floor has been delivered and installed. Closed hot zones have been formed using APC by Schneider Electric’s NetShelter Aisle Containment solution, which has been applied to existing RITTAL 19″ server cabinets.

OTHER
A new LAN installation has been installed, and the electrical installation system above the IT equipment has been expanded. The new equipment is connected to the existing surveillance system, and the data center space has been renovated.
EXECUTION OF WORKS
All works were carried out in close collaboration with the IT department employees of OTP Bank, ensuring uninterrupted and regular operation of IT equipment throughout the project duration. All equipment was synchronized with existing surveillance and power supply systems.
OTHER
After testing, a successful commissioning was conducted, and the data center was transitioned into regular preventive maintenance mode, along with previously installed power supply systems (UPS systems and DEA facilities), which are already under maintenance contracts.
