MEP is conducting testing of a Lithium-Ion battery for telecommunications base stations.

In this case, the battery is integrated into a 48VDC hybrid power system based on the combined rectifier and inverter modules of Eltek Rectiverter.

The battery is based on Lithium Iron Phosphate technology with a nominal capacity of 100Ah or 4800Wh by Delta Electronics. The battery has a built-in independent BMS and easily integrates into existing DC power systems.

Advantages include a wider temperature range, higher energy density compared to VRLA technologies, and easy installation into existing cabinets.
